Your Free Aerial Guide
The hidden mistakes that’ve been holding your aerial back — and how to fix them.
Legs Mistake: You don't have enough leg power.
A lot of kids try to throw their body sideways instead of jumping up first. But a proper aerial begins with a powerful, controlled takeoff—not a hurried, flashy kick. You must push through one straight leg, fully point your toes, and jump as high as you can before initiating the rotation.
To FIX it: return to my Episodes 4 and 5 for focused leg-strength exercises and specific takeoff drills. Keep practicing those drills until your jump feels strong, smooth, and balanced, without any wobbling or collapsing.
