Myths: ‘You need to be born flexible?’
Indeed, being born flexible is a bonus, but you don’t have to be born flexible.
You need to…….
Learn effective drills
Correct technique
Your patience and time
Many assume that I was naturally flexible and strong, but the reality is quite different! Despite starting ballet at the age of three and gymnastics at ten, I struggled with basic moves like splits and bridges due to my stiffness.
My mother and coaches often urged me to practice at home, just as I now encourage my own students, but the thought of enduring that discomfort was unappealing.
It wasn't until I turned seventeen that I discovered many women begin yoga in their mid-thirties and still achieve flexibility. This revelation inspired me to commit to daily stretching, and within two weeks, I was able to perform splits that touched the floor!
By nineteen, I sought to enhance my gymnastics skills and began learning contortion. Now, in my twenties, I continue to train and witness my progress. Age truly is just a number; with dedication, time, and hard work, anyone can unlock their potential.
Thank you for following my journey toward flexibility—let's embrace the challenge together!🌸
